This week's Parade Magazine had an article about pet first aid. They have the info here at their website's pet page. That info link includes a first aid kit list. Their link here describes how to do CPR on your pet. That link also has a list of things to include in a first aid kit, although that list is longer than the first linked list.
The ASPCA sells this pet first aid kit online for $49.95: "The kit contains an astonishing 126 items, including some not often found in pet first aid kits, such as a tick remover, emergency blanket, digital thermometer and slip leash."
The ASPCA kit includes two "Animals Inside" stickers, which you can also buy separately in packages of 100 (!) for $15.00. I bought some several years ago when you could buy a smaller amount - maybe 12? - but I accidentally checked the 100 box so I have quite a few left. If anyone wants one or five, email me with your address and I'll mail them to you. Stheriously. Which reminds me that the number of cats info on our stickers is outdated. They're actually clings, btw, not stickers.
