Kevin was very sick for about a week recently. He's got residual symptoms even now. I was able to stay unsick for most of that week, but succumbed in the end. I spent a few days resting, in bed or propped up on the couch or in The Comfy Chair. When ill, I highly recommend that one manage to attract the companionship of a cat such as Nosey, who joined me on the bed during those few days.
There's something so soothing, so healthful about co-respiting with a congenial cat. The kittens would come and go, but an older, calmer cat like Nosey can stay almost the whole day by the patient's side.
Such a cat is conducive to quiet contemplation and physical stillness, encouraging the patient to rest with the dedication and expertise of the experienced, older feline.
Aww, what a good kitty! Reminds me how much I miss my tuxie.
