Och, I killed my mini-petunias. I just didn't keep them watered and moist. Also, the baskets didn't hold the water very well bc the moss liners are starting to wear down. They no longer come up to the edge of the baskets and the water just runs off the sides. Also also, bc the liners are shorter, there was less dirt soil in there. Some of the soil would run off with the water. Here's Nosey a few weeks ago w/the dead things.
I let the dead things hang there for some time. Might've been good for Halloween. Last weekend, we finally bought some replacement flowers. We didn't have much from which to choose, ending up with purple and white pansies. Apparently, pansies are, well, pansies in the heat and Kevin thought they might do well now that it's a bit cooler. They were all sold out of moss basket liners - it's not really the time of year - but they did have loose moss.
Kevin very kindly pulled out the mini-petunias, added some loose moss to shore up the liners, also some more soil and planted the pansies. That was on my list of things to do. Thanks, Kev! Here's Nosey with the lively things.
Nosey, of course, retains his beauty through all seasons, situations and surroundings, as can be clearly seen in these photos.
