As noted, I needed to replace a letter writer for 3-4 programs. I tried to contact one professor who had previously agreed to write, but they're apparently incommunicado at the moment. I have been able to get in touch with another professor who had also previously agreed to write and they're still willing to do so. More luck!
I'm thinking about adding 1 or 2 more schools. Yeah, I'll probably do that. One has a due date in about a week, so some supporting material will arrive late, but the online application will be there on time. The other has a February due date for a paper (!) application, so there's plenty of time to get that one together.
Seems like when I don't worry about the stuff I have to do, doing that stuff becomes more fun. Seems like fun stuff gradually becomes less fun as deadlines approach, other things are added to my plate, etc., but it's so gradual that I don't notice that I've gone from thinking, 'That should be fun to write about' to 'I've only got X more time to finish this stupid thing'. Ah well, I suppose that happens to most everyone.
Nothing much else going on around here. Gathering, reviewing, finessing, etc. application stuff. Most deadlines are within the first 2 weeks of January. Even if I wish some applications were stronger than they actually are, I imagine it will be a relief to just have them all done and submitted.
Gosh, I'm boring today. I guess I'll just end here before y'all nod off to sleep.
