Friday Cat Blogging: Queen of the World & A Request to Help Daisy Mae, Feline Gunshot Victim
First, Friday Cat Blogging with my little Dolly. This is my tidy little bundle of a kitty sitting on top of an upturned couch. We put it like this in order to get it out of the way while Kevin works on the dining and living rooms. It's leaning up against the piano. Dolly's taken to jumping up on the piano and then onto the couch, where she has a nice vantage point to watch the household comings and goings. As you can see, the cats have inflicted some damage on the couch already, and I wasn't crazy about it leaning like this -- it seemed like an accident waiting to happen -- so we finally set it aright, gave it up to the cats and will toss it when the remodeling's done.
About Daisy Mae: As I posted earlier this week, The Modulator posted about Daisy Mae, a 3 year old Seattle area cat shot in the face and stomach. Pasado's Safe Haven, a local animal sanctuary, is keeping tabs on the case, covering Daisy Mae's medical care, organizing efforts to track down the perp and raising reward money. From the latest update on Daisy Mae:

Dolly you are a Queen indeed! It always seems Kitty Cats find the best spots in the house.
As for Daisy Mae, there is not enough room for me to begin ranting on animal abuse. May whoever did this to that poor kitty cat be found and - well I can't even say it. I am angry and abuse - there is no reason for it. Sick people.
Thanks for sharing with us. PURRS

Hi Megan et al. Thanks for stopping by AND for checking out Daisy Mae's story. I'll never understand what makes people think harming animals is a good idea. This is the kind of thing that makes me want to shoot the perp in the face and lungs even though I don't think that will help the situation. Poor, defenseless kitty. Grrrrr.
